UNIVERSAL MUSIC, working together with Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber and Billie Eilish, will be searching for talent in the eighth season of "The Voice of Lithuania"

Filming for the eighth season of "The Voice of Lithuania" started this week. In the blind auditions stage, the teachers in the red chairs have to decide whether a participant is worthy of joining their team and continuing their journey in the project. However, in the new season, it is not only Justinas Jarutis, Monika Liu, Monique and Donatas Montvydas who will be on the lookout for musical talent, but also world-class music producers.

"This season will be marked by pleasant surprises. The first one is that KaYra has replaced Karolina Meschino, who went on maternity leave, with a new reporter. The second is that the Voice family is joined by Universal Music, a world leader in the music industry, who will work with ELITAZ MUSIC to look after the winner's career. This opens the gates of opportunity even wider for new talents to shine brightly and not only in the Lithuanian music market. By combining ELITAZ MUSIC's knowledge of the local market and UMG's international experience, we will give the Voice family in Lithuania a new strength," says Gediminas Jaunius, Chief Producer of ELITAZ, the creative house that has been implementing the Voice format in Lithuania for eight seasons.

Representatives of the world's biggest record label follow the performances of Season 8 contestants from the first step on stage. The new winner of the project will ensure that Universal Music Group (UMG) not only records and publishes the new tracks, but also handles the winner's publicity, public relations and career.

Unsuccessful participants also have a chance to attract UMG's attention, which means that the career of any of the participants could take an unexpected turn in the near future. "Universal Music Group's international team assures us that in practice, they are not necessarily interested in the participants who make it to the final battles. The talents who make it to the UMG's radar will only find out after the project is over.

"We are delighted to partner with Elitaz and LNK in this season of the project. We hope that by working together we will discover new talents that can be contracted to work both in Lithuania and possibly even abroad," says UMG Head of the Baltic States Petri Mannonen.

"Universal Music Group is a global leader in the music industry, producing and publishing music in more than 60 countries. The company is constantly on the lookout for new musical talent and has worked with world-famous artists such as Billie Eilish, Justin Bieber, Ariane Grande, Taylor Swift, Alicia Keys, Nicky Minaj, Lady Gaga, Sam Smith and many more.

The viewers will be able to see how the participants of the eighth season will develop in the project and in the world of music from 3 January, every Sunday at 19:30 on LNK.
