On 15 November, Klaipėda's Švyturys Arena will for the first time host the Children's Favourite 2025 Awards, during which as many as twelve statuettes will be awarded - from the most favourite actor or toy to the tastiest food of the year. The colourful and engaging show will feature the brightest stars of the music scene - OG Version, Paulina Paukštytaitė, Gabrielius Vagelis and Gintė, the bands The Roop, Jauti and many more. Together with the talented actors Audrius Bružas and Gelmine Glemžaite, the awards will be hosted by the children's favourite character Kakė Makė. Throughout the event, the children will be entertained by the friends of Kakė Makė, who have prepared a number of surprises and a lot of fun for all those who come.
The Children's Favourites election will take place in two phases. From now until 13 October, children are invited to nominate their favourites in each of the 12 nominations. After all the votes have been counted, the nominees for each nomination will then be selected and voted for again from 17 to 27 October. The nominees with the most votes will be the winners and will be rewarded during a glamorous show.
"My team and I created these nominations to hear what's really happening today
important and interesting for children. Each nomination is like a small part of a child's world where
music, culture, games and even tastes. We hope that the children themselves will become part of this
as part of the process - nominating, voting and thus co-creating these awards. To make them
to encourage active participation, we have also prepared special prizes for the most active
for the educational establishments that voted. It is therefore important to include your educational establishment in the voting
the name of the institution - this will be your ticket to the extra prize game", says the awarding
Gediminas Jaunius, Chief Producer of ELITAZ Creative House.
All educational institutions in the country are invited to join the vote - special invitations to contribute have already been sent to kindergartens and schools across Lithuania. The educational institutions whose pupils vote most actively will have the chance to win tickets to the event, a private performance by Káke Makė at their institution and other prizes provided by the sponsors.
"Children's favourite 2025" categories:
- Favourite artist or band - conquerors of the music scene, whose songs and energy are so good that even mothers already know all their lyrics by heart. For your favourite Lithuanian artist, performer or band - for their good mood, energy on stage and the songs that get stuck in your ears and can make even your grandmother dance.
- Your favourite song is the one that's been played so many times at home that your cat and your neighbours know the words. The nomination is for those Lithuanian songs that are impossible to get out of your head, even if you try very hard. The songs that even your phone is tired of listening to and whose melody is already known by everyone around you.
- My favourite actor is the one who performs so well that you start to believe that he/she is a frog with a straight face. The nomination is for the country's best-loved actors and actresses who transform themselves so expertly into knights, fairies, villains or flying elephants that even your parents put their phones away to watch them.
- My favourite event is a play, a concert or a gathering that was so engaging that I was very sad when it was over. The nomination is for all events, performances or concerts that took place in Lithuania this year that started as "something your mum said you should go to" and ended with you sitting there laughing and wondering when you could go again.
- A favourite content creator is someone whose daily ritual is as important as brushing their teeth. The nomination is for those Lithuanian content creators who can talk, dance, unbox, bake cookies, create challenges, cry, sing, and even film, sometimes all at the same time. These are the people who can turn nothing into content and content into hundreds of thousands of followers. Dad may not yet understand what they do, but you already know their entire agenda by heart.
- Favourite athlete - the one whose achievements inspire you not to miss a single PE lesson. The nomination is dedicated to Lithuanian sports heroes who make you think about sport... well, at least in theory. These are the people you follow on TV, "temporarily" on Instagram, and then try to replicate their moves in the backyard or at the gym. And then you realise that it was easier to watch after all.
- My favourite Lithuanian book is the one that you read of your own free will. Or you ask your parents to read it to you before you go to bed, sometimes even five times in a row. The nomination is for Lithuanian books, which managed to beat tablets, phones and even Youtube. Stories or fairy tales that you read not because your teacher told you to, but because it was...very good.
- My favourite person in Lithuania is someone who is simply fantastic in character, activity or deeds. The nomination is for someone who does something that makes everyone speak well of them. It could be the President, it could be a teacher, it could be a neighbour who smiles every morning - what matters is that he inspires, delights or at least does not annoy (which is an achievement in itself). This is the kind of person you want to shake hands with, or just give a high five to.
- A favourite film is one that is so good that you've watched it more than once and made your family watch it just as many times. The nomination is for the one film released in 2025 that overcomes all the "what are we watching?" arguments and becomes a family consensus - even if it is the 12th time. Whether it's an animation or a comedy or a gripping action film, if you weren't voting right now, you'd be sure to tune in to watch it one more time.
- My favourite video game is the one whose sounds are recognisable to my neighbours behind the wall. This nomination is for a video game that engages you so much that you forget you need to eat and sleep. The one where "please, 10 more minutes" becomes three hours and five parental warnings, but is worth every extra second.
- A favourite toy is not necessarily one that comes from a shelf for a hundred euros or has fifty-eight electronic functions, but one that is terribly uninteresting without. Whether it's a ball, a robot, a three-year-old dinosaur with one leg missing, or just a withered stick from the backyard, the nomination goes to the toy that is the best at delighting, soothing, keeping a secret or being a fighting friend.
- Your favourite food is the one you would eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the one you never want to give to your Labrador until your parents see it. Whether it's fries, pancakes, pizza or macaroni and cheese without salt and cheese, the nomination is for a dish that never needs any persuasion.
