One week before the 3 December event at Kaunas Žalgiris Arena, the organisers of the M1 Music Awards announce the full list of performers. On that evening, singers and bands from different styles and generations will perform specially created shows with spectacular staged interpretations, unexpected scenographic solutions and modern choreographic elements. However, even after all the names have been announced, one intrigue will remain until the end.
"We have set ourselves an ambitious goal - we have chosen the direction of collaborations, of the most unexpected musical mergers as our creative key. This required a lot more creativity and often patience from everyone. This only made the whole process more interesting. In the course of the process, we had to change and expand the programme, so that everything finally came together as a complete whole, as if it were a single musical act. All the efforts were just to make the awards evening special, unpredictable and the moments created on stage become part of the music history", says Gediminas Jaunius, Chief Producer of ELITAZ Creative House.
More than 20 stars will perform at the M1 Music Awards: Donatas Montvydas, Adomas Vyšniauskas, Gabrielius Vagelis, Justinas Jarutis, Žemaitukai, Džordana Butkutė, Šeškės, Gabriele Vilkickytė, Despotin Fam, Giedrė, Petunija, Pijus Opera, 8 Kambarys, Cherri, a quintet of Lithuanian music legends (Egidijus Sipavičius, Rosita Čivilytė, Neda Malūnavičiūtė, Česlovas Gabalis, Steponas Januška), the foreign bands Abor & Tynna and Tautumeitas. The names of the musicians who will be appearing in the show include Lukas and Petras Geniušas, Petras Vyšniauskas, Tomas Varnagiris, etc. But the intrigue continues - who will perform with whom?
"As we have promised since the M1 Music Awards were announced, this will be a true celebration of live music. Different personalities and different, sometimes seemingly incompatible, genres of music will come together on stage. All this is just so that the Zalgiris Arena audience and LNK TV viewers can enjoy quality music and an engaging spectacle that will amaze them every second," says G. Jaunius.
The M1 Music Awards are on the home stretch. Last Friday, the voting on the official website m1apdovanojimai.lt, where people voted for the Best of the Year, ended. More than 775,000 votes were cast. After verification by auditors, the names of the future winners are now being engraved on pendants made of white 14-carat gold and diamonds. These will be worn by the winners of the thirteen nominations during the ceremony. Work on the stage installation will start at the Arena over the weekend. Due to the complex construction and the state-of-the-art sound and light technology planned, it will take up to three days.
At the awards event on 3 December, from 5 pm onwards, not only the nominees, many singers, bands and musicians who will perform spectacularly on stage that evening, but also famous guests - the cream of the crop of the world of entertainment, fashion, social networks, business, and the most prominent heroes of magazine and portal articles - will walk the blue carpet.
Those who want to follow the hottest events in the VIP area and hear interviews with celebrities will be able to do so by logging on to the 15min news portal. From 5 pm to 7 pm, there will be a special Blue Carpet broadcast, hosted by stylist Milda Metlovaitė, who doesn't mince words, and M1 Youth Service provocateurs Gustas Ramonas and Joris Bačiulis.
The M1 Music Awards ceremony itself will start at 19:30 in Kaunas Žalgiris Arena and will be broadcast live on LNK.
