After an impressive biographical book launch in Vilnius, Rosita Čivilytė comes to Klaipėda

On Monday, 3 November, music fans and book lovers gathered for a special celebration - singer Rosita Čivilytė celebrated her 60th birthday together with the audience by presenting her biographical book "Rosita. Life as Sudden Death and Slow Resurrection" (by Elvyra Kučinskaitė) and her latest songs.

The book was published by the publishing house "Bekaras" of the creative house ELITAZ, and the gala evening took place at the National Martynas Mažvydas Library. The second fan meeting evening - book and song presentation - will take place in Klaipėda, at the Ievos Simonaitytė Library, on 10 November at 5 pm.

The fact that Rosita's voice and personality have been gathering a loyal fan base for several decades was confirmed by the anniversary evening - the number of people who wanted to attend was more than the library's largest conference hall could accommodate. A large number of colleagues, friends and music fans congratulated the singer on her book launch and her beautiful anniversary.

The evening was moderated by singer Benas Aleksandravičius (ba.), who added both playfulness and depth to the conversation. Rosita's performance was a special gift of the evening - accompanied by Kazimieras Krulikovskis on keyboards, the singer presented several new, never-before-heard songs.

In the second part of the evening, the creative team - Elvyra Kučinskaitė, the author of the biography, Jurgita Juodytė, the artist, and Gediminas Jaunius, the conceiver of the idea - shared their impressions of the process of the book's birth. Famous faces - Rūta Ščiogolevaitė, Vaida Genytė-Marazienė, Merūnas Vitulskis, Nomeda Marčėnaitė, Vytenis Pauliukaitis, Katažina Zvonkuvienė, Indrė Launikonytė, Vladas Kovalev and others - who came to the celebration, did not spare any words about the book's heroine and the event.

Merūnas Vitulskis: "I am grateful that it exists at all. We should be grateful to her parents for bringing such a unique, distinctive and sensitive personality into this world. Every time you are in the same room with her, you come out as if you have grown up a little - you feel that you are worth something. She reminds me of both my mother and my grandmother - strong, real women who would walk through walls. Rosita is Rosita. That's all. She is unique and one of a kind. God forbid that we should have more such uniquenesses - one such person is born every hundred years."

Vytenis Pauliukaitis: "I am very happy that there are people who have encouraged her to tell her story. The life of every artist or singer is complicated, but at the same time extremely interesting. What we see on stage is only a small part of the whole, but the inner creative process that takes place in the soul of the performer is even more interesting. That's why I will read this book immediately - I believe it will be full of discoveries and insights for anyone who wants to follow this path. For Rosita, it is another challenge, because it is never easy to undertake a biography, especially when one's life hasn't been rosy."

Katažina Zvonkuvienė: "He is a very deep person. I said when I congratulated her: 'She is a mother, a teacher, a human being and a woman with a capital letter. She was the person who was probably the first person in the world of Lithuanian shows who believed in me - who pushed me to act, to not be afraid, to not doubt.

Tonight, I saw it through a completely different set of eyes. As a performer, she doesn't open up to everyone, so this book is proof that sometimes it takes time and years for a person to come out from within. She is for me an extremely deep and real person who is sensitive to go through life. This book shows that the people who inspire us - those great talents - translate their souls to us."

The journey of the book and its creators through Lithuania continues - everyone is welcome on 10 November at 5 pm. Klaipėda Ievos Simonaitytė and 12 November at 6 pm. The guests will be welcomed at Kaunas "Ąžuolynas" libraries on 12 November and 12 November and at Kaunas "Ąžuolynas" libraries on 12 November and 12 November, and a little later at Plungiskes.
