Mikutavičius - host of the project that caused a stir in the world: "Some will keep their fame for a long time, others will lose it very soon"

This year with TV3 Media Group has been filled not only with news, but also with phenomena that have conquered the world. The game "Take over the court", which has never been seen before in Lithuania but has attracted thousands of fans worldwide in record time. The Floor" is one of them. It is an incredibly addictive interactive entertainment where every answer changes the situation and every duel becomes a battle for territory. One mistake can cost everything!

More than 30 contestants will engage in a strategic battle of knowledge in an interactive playground where every answer can change the course of the show. Participants will choose the topic they know best, challenge their "neighbour" and try to answer the visually illustrated questions as quickly and accurately as possible. If they get it right, the winner will then take over the contestant's box. And that's just the beginning...

The aim of the game is to conquer the entire playing field, step by step, and win a spectacular cash prize of up to €10,000.

A game that requires success for you and failure for your opponent

The new project will be hosted by Marijus Mikutavičius, the long-standing face of TV3, with whom we have already played a number of intriguing news battles together. However, this time Marijus will not be playing himself, but rather leading this parade of knowledge tests!

"This is a game that has never been seen in Lithuania before. But it is sure to become a family entertainment, as every viewer will be able to play it at home in front of their screens along with the project participants. Moreover, general knowledge is often enough for this game - you don't need to be particularly erudite or intelligent. More often than not, it's more about reacting", says the host of the new game.

However, when time limit, reaction and tension come together, we may see some very strange or amusing things...

"At moments like that, people can't remember the most basic words! In fact, I've noticed it myself - when you're pressed for time and excitement, some things just fall out of your head. To the point where you don't remember that 'house' is called 'house'," Mikutavičius laughs.

According to the host, watching the participants is just as interesting as playing. Especially because defying all stereotypes is often the most surprising thing people do.

"I was caught and punished by life in this game when I thought my bald uncle with glasses knew more than a 20-year-old girl with white hair. But, as it turns out, no way! The bald uncle must have gotten the rags (laughs). We will see so many young people here, so full of knowledge and excitement, so focused and so good at answering questions that we will be very pleasantly surprised. The winners in this game will be those who have the inner discipline and the ability to stay focused and concentrate", says Mikutavičius.

Each participant will initially be able to choose the topics they are most interested in, ranging from Lithuanian celebrities to farming, watersheds and TV3 Projects.

"Another popular topic was "Lithuanian singers", many of whom we have certainly seen on TV. But the photo may be chosen in such a way that you can't easily tell who's in it! It is certainly possible to slip up everywhere. This project really needs a lot of luck for you and bad luck for your opponent", says the host of the new game.

What's behind the scenes?

The new project "Take control of the pitch. The Floor" was filmed in Tallinn by the TV3 media team. It was also filmed here for other Baltic countries. However, even though we live very close to each other, playing in different Baltic countries will give away that Estonians, Latvians and Lithuanians are very different. And what will make us different in this game?

"Our presenter is the best (laughs). Seriously, the stereotypes of the countries match. Lithuanians are more boisterous and emotional, Estonians are calmer and more reserved and Latvians are somewhere in the middle. In a way, the anecdotal stereotypes match", Mikutavičius smiles.

He also tells us that this is exactly the second project that brings him back to Tallinn.

"Ironically, one of my first international projects was also in Tallinn. International experience is really uncommon for me, and somehow it's always connected to Tallinn. That time we were filming the TV3 project "100 000 euros in cash"," he recalls.

Speaking about the behind-the-scenes of the filming, Mikutavičius also emphasises the interactive playground, which was created especially for the game and leaves a great impression.

"The studio looks really cool, and it's especially cool on camera - it's a really great image. It even reminded me of the mood of Squid Games, where everybody has to occupy their own territory," Mikutavičius intrigues.

The host also reveals more behind-the-scenes details. For example, while there will be plenty of competition, we'll also see more than a few friendships forged...

"People will come to the game together, becoming friends, a community. Many people will get to know each other, feel human sympathy for each other. But of course everyone wants to win and stay in the game as long as possible. Even if you wait a long time for your turn, you might not get anything if you get it wrong in the first question. This is the saddest part of the game. But that's the way it is - some people keep their fame and attention for longer, and some lose it very quickly," Mikutavičius shares his thoughts.

And Marius himself could be described as a seasoned gaming expert - he was also the first captain of the Saturday game "galvOK". So how many interesting facts does he have in his head after such games?

"It's not without reason that they say repetition is the mother of science. When I take part in such games, I notice how much additional information is added to my mind. It's information that I didn't have before, so I can shine in front of my family or friends (laughs). But when you stop playing, it's back to the boring routine of Lithuanian politics...", says Marijus, who has been playing since the spring and testing his knowledge.

"Take control of the pitch. The Floor" - only on TV3 from March!
