Legends unveil the music video for their first joint track "Kylam aukštai" - behind the scenes of the song's creation

Sometimes songs are born in the studio. Sometimes it comes from a long life on stage, shared memories and the courage to believe, once again, that music can lift an arena. This is the story behind five music legends Rosita Čivilytė, Česlovas Gabalis, Neda Malūnavičiūtė, Steponas Januška and Egidijus Sipavičius' "Kylam aukštai", which takes a new form today with the launch of the official music video.

The video not only features an emotional performance, but also real, documentary moments from the creative camp where the song was born. Viewers will see footage of collaborative conversations, improvisations, creative disputes and moments of silence while searching for the right word or note. The new video also features excerpts from the first live performance of 'Kylam aukštai' on stage at last year's M1 Music Awards, when the whole arena rose from their seats and the chorus was still playing on social media and in people's heads.

Vytautas Bikas's "Kylam aukštai" proved that the creative energy of these Legends is not nostalgia, but alive, pulsating here and now.

Rosita Čivilytė recalls that the decision to go to the farmhouse to create was not only creative, but also human: "I wanted to be away from the lights of the stage, without rushing. When you have time to talk, to argue, to be silent, the song becomes more real. It starts to breathe what we breathe."

Egidijus Sipavičius admits that such recording sessions are a rarity in their career: 'For the first time we had so much space and time for each other. It was not only to arrange the parties, but also to listen to what was important to everyone. It really changed the structure and the mood of the song."

The creative camp was not short of laughter or fierce discussions. But, as Steponas Januška says, this is what creates the strongest result: 'When such voices and such experiences come together, it can't be any other way - there will be different opinions. But the end result shows that it was worth it."

The first live performance of Kylam aukštai at the M1 Music Awards was one of the most talked-about moments of the night - not only did the legends return to the stage, but also a new, modern-sounding track. "It was great to feel that people were singing along, even though it was a premiere. It means that the song hits you right in the heart", shares Neda Malūnavičiūtė.

The music video gives a closer look at the story - without filters or gloss. It brings together the sweat of rehearsals, conversations, memories and the moments when the lights came up and thousands of people waited in the country's biggest arena for the first note.

However, the Legends' reunion for the joint work "Kylam aukštai" is not a one-off project. The collaboration continues - Legends will soon be performing in more than one big show, and this Saturday, with a specially created 8-minute show, they will perform at the grand finale of the Citadele Karaliaus Mindaugas Cup, during the long break at Šiauliai Arena.
