The M1 Music Awards, which will take place at Kaunas Žalgiris Arena on 3 December, announce the list of nominations. There are 13 categories. These awards will be different from the others in that the year's best musicians and performers will be chosen by the nation in a special vote.
As previously announced, the M1 Music Awards will be distinguished only by the music performed live on stage and by the fact that the main and most important voice here will be the voice of Lithuania as a whole - the winners will be chosen by the people. The nominees will be based on AGATA data and the voting will be overseen by an audit company. The transparency of the selection of candidates for each nomination will also be supervised by representatives of ELITAZ, 15min Group, M1, Muzikos Verslo Asociacijos, kavava.lt, bilietai,lt and Agata. Voting will start at the end of October.
List of nominations:
1. Singer of the Year: the person who has rocked the music world the loudest this year, with songs that have conquered playlists, voices that have captured the ears of listeners, and music that is still playing even when the stereo has been turned off for ages.
2. Group of the Year: a team that has proved that harmony is the strongest force. Their songs are instant hits. Their performances are unmissable and unforgettable.
3. Hit of the Year: that one piece that has become a kind of anthem for the year, an emotion, a memory, a melody stuck in my head. This year's HIT in capital letters.
4. Concert of the Year: a show that has been talked about and will be talked about for a long time to come in Lithuania. The music and sound, the image and the atmosphere - something that exceeded all expectations.
5. Joint Work of the Year: a collaboration between different creators, which was the best "short(ish)merger" of the year.
6. All Lithuanian music: a special nomination from the Lietus radio station for a band or singer who has become an integral part of Lithuanian music or even life.
7. For a world of sound: a special nomination from radio station M1 for music without borders.
8. Breakthrough of the year: a name that has exploded onto the music scene like a hurricane just this year, and whose songs are getting louder and louder.
9. Album of the Year: a masterpiece of music that deserves a golden shelf in the playlists - from the very first to the very last song.
10. Nostalgia of the years: the return of a song with a new sound, proving that good works don't age.
11. OTHER of the Year: for wanting to sound different and being heard.
12. The "please stop digging" of the year: a song that's been played so much, but your ears are already screaming - time for a break.
13. Music Producer of the Year: a true alchemist, in whose studio musical gold is born.
