ELITAZ, a creative house celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, joins with M1, the most listened-to radio station celebrating 35 years of music, and 15min group to announce the biggest news of this year's music world - on December 3rd, Kaunas Žalgiris Arena will host the first ever M1 Music Awards. ELITAZ are the architects of the awards show. A bold promise has been made: everything will be alive at the awards: music and the voice of the whole country.
"These awards will be called national awards because the winners will be determined by the voice of the people. Another unique feature is that everything that will take place on the Žalgiris Arena stage will be performed live. No phonograms and as best as we can - these are the main goals we have set when we decided to organise an event of this scale. We give the will to choose the best to the most demanding judges - listeners, music lovers, fans of singers and bands - both from big cities and from the smallest, remotest corners of Lithuania. After all, that is the purpose of music - to unite", - Arnoldas Eisimantas, M1 programme director and presenter, introduces the idea of the new awards.
The event is organised by a large team of professionals from various fields - the 15min Group and the producers of Kūrybos namai ELITAZ, which produces the biggest music and TV projects.
"The Lithuanian music industry is undoubtedly on the rise: concerts are abundant, various genres have flourished, and the creative process is at a high level. We can all fit under the sun, and we think it is high time Lithuania had National Music Awards, where creators and performers would be appreciated by the whole society, and the selection criteria would be as transparent and data-driven as possible," says Gediminas Jaunius, Chief Producer of ELITAZ Creative House.
On the evening of December 3, Kaunas Žalgiris Arena will host what the Lithuanian music community has been waiting for - a spectacular live music show that will bring together the biggest stars, unexpected creative and scenic solutions and the authors of the most famous hits. Before the event, guests will be greeted by a blue VIP carpet that will bring together the music and entertainment community, and the organisers make a firm promise to create an evening that will be talked about for a long time to come in Lithuania.
"With a great team, we are preparing an exceptional show with live music at the epicentre. We not only demand the highest quality for every performance, but also aim to create events on stage that are worthy of the pages of music history. The tributes to our legends and the older generation, and the unique collaborations - we promise you, it will be surprising and nostalgic for some of the spectators. The audience gathered in the Arena can expect an event of the highest standards, dedicated primarily to them, and for the viewers of the LNK live broadcast we are preparing a special treat to see everything as close as TV can show it. Preparations for tasteful humour and spectacular performances have already begun. And although it's too early to reveal the details, I can tell you that we will not limit ourselves to Lithuanian stars alone", - promises G. Jaunius.
The official announcement of the M1 Music Awards coincides with the launch of an exclusive promotional campaign, highlighted by a special video clip in which a large group of stars from the airwaves and the stage present the first M1 Music Award in a secret ceremony at night. Symbolically, it went to Vince Kudirka himself, for the most significant Lithuanian composition of all time - "Tautiška giesma".
